A group of Tibetan students has volunteered to work as interpreters for those who have been hospitalized by Wednesday's devastating quake.
35 students from a medical school in Xi'An were among the first group of volunteers. They have been in Yushu county since Friday, helping the injured communicate with doctors.
Language barriers were the biggest challenges when quake patients were first sent to hospitals.
Over the next few days, the Tibetan students will also take special medical training courses to help victims get back on their feet, both mentally and physically.
