Kim Jong Il, Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has made an unofficial visit to Beijing.

The official KCNA news agency of the DPRK reports Kim's five-day visit, which started on Monday May the 3rd, came at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.
