Argentina beat Canada 5-0 in in World Cup

Two-time World Cup champion Argentina took on Canada in another friendly on Monday. It was the Gauchos' final tuneup before their tournament opener against Nigeria June 12.

A fantastic atmosphere was provided by the fans in Argentina and from coach Diego Maradona. And then, Argentina took the lead in the match behind a goal by Maxi Rodriguez. He scored from 20 meters out and it was 1-0.Rodriguez shot hooked in from the left side...an unstoppable effort, and Argentina was quickly in front.

More from Argentina in the 32nd minute...Gonzalo Higuain found Carlos Tevez, and Tevez passed it to Rodriguez for his second goal of the match. 2-0 Argentina.

Goal number three came from Argentinean Di Maria. Tevez fed it to his teammate for a rising, left-footed shot from 25 meters. Argentina led Canada 3-0.

In the 63rd minute, Tevez put another point on the board off a pass from Higuain...Tevez from close range...4-0.

In the 71st minute, Sergio Aguero came in off the sideline for Argentina. And he promptly scored with a left-footed shot from the left wing. Argentina won it 5-0.
