Heavy rain in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has resulted in floods, landslides and traffic paralysis in several town.
Meteorological stations in Guangxi have issued 12 red alerts due to the severity of the heavy storms. Eleven townships in the region have received more than 300 millimeters of rain.
Emergency measures have been taken by local governments to rescue victims and deal with stranded travelers. According to forecasts, heavy rain will continue for the next 24 hours.
