Atithi Gautam KC may just be the youngest singer in the world. The three-year-old Nepalese girl cut a solo album and has set her eyes on entering the Guinness Book of World Records.

The solo album comprises of nine Nepali songs, including the country's national anthem and was released in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal on Sunday.

Atithi gave a live performance at the launch of her album, singing three songs from it. The album was released by Orbit Publishers, her father's company.

Her elder sister Usna, and her father, Uddhav, who is a Nepali folk singer, accompanied her at the ceremony.

Although her age did not deter Atithi from cutting the solo album, the composer said it was difficult to work with the child on account of her age.

Her father has planned to register her name in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Uddhav KC, Atithi's father, said, "Atithi started singing at the age of two. She got into the habit of imitating her sister, so we worked on the process to record her songs and we are planning to register her name in the Guinness Book of World Records."

Atithi has performed live on state-owned Nepal Television and radio stations in Nepal.
