The Culture Street was designed and built in a European style and the original buildings on the street were reconstructed accordingly. An architectural complex of modern European styles, coherent with the features of the sea, mountains and towns in the city, has been built up, thus integrating the art of environment and the atmosphere of businesses.

Various shops stand along both sides of the street, with a full reflection of traditional culture, people culture, historical and fashion culture, and a combination of elegance & popularity, motion & standstill, expertise & commonality, and practicality & culture. Five culture industry plates, “distinctive market, cultivated shops, presentable creation, creative production, and comprehensive service” have come into beings by absorbing good culture industry programs and extending the industrial chain.

By adding vigor and vitality to the culture industry in the North District, they have now become important carriers for the whole city’s development in culture industry.

The culture Street is at present the only one characterized by a highly-aggregative culture industry form. It is also one of the large-scale integrated culture streets in the whole country and has been entitled as the first demonstration base for culture industry by the National Ministry of Culture.
