US President Barack Obama has made it clear, in his weekly radio address, that America is sticking to its promise to pull out of Iraq.

Addressing the nation from the island retreat of Martha's Vineyard on Saturday, Obama confirmed, that the US combat mission in Iraq will end Tuesday.

He also reaffirmed his campaign promise to end the war there, and shift the focus to Afghanistan, which is home, to the top threats against America.

Obama emphasized that US troops would continue to support and train Iraqi forces in the months ahead, along with protecting American civilians and military efforts in the country. But many Iraqi citizens are still worried about their nation's volatile security situation.

Rasheed Al-Jumaili, Baghdad Resident, said, "The withdrawal of US forces from Iraq will result in a security vacuum, and power conflicts among blocs. Iraqis will also bleed twice as much as we have since 2003."

Ahmed Hussein, Baghdad Resident, said, "If the Iraqi government is able to maintain security, timing of the American withdrawal is good. But if they aren't capable of controlling the situation, the timing of pullout will be too early."
