China sends 2nd rescue team to Pakistan

This team includes medical staff and technical experts. Based on the information sent back by the first team, the rescuers have prepared ahead for their mission.

Liang said, "More than half of the patients in the disaster area are women and children. So we have extra gynecological, pediatric, gastroenterological and respiratory staff. There are also 24 females in the team."

The team is equipped with top medical specialists and advanced machines. Through their thorough preparations, the members are ready to meet any difficulties they face.

Zhang Kai, China Intl'l Rescue Team, said, "No problem at all. If there is one, I think there might be a little problem of communicating with the patients. But we will overcome all the difficulties."

It is the first time that Chinese rescuers will carry out biological examinations and sterile surgery.

The number of people needing medical attention is increasing and the rescuers are carrying medicines and equipment worth 8 million yuan to meet their urgent needs.
