Striking a pose at London Fashion Week are some emerging Chinese designers.
The younger generation is demonstrating their range of artistic creations through a bold yet thoughtful approach.
Models sashayed down the runway, dressed in a clean-cut style. This was the catwalk show of Ma Sha, a Chinese fashion designer born in the 1980s.
Symmetrical patterns in colors of white, icy blue and glittering silver add a metallic sheen to Ma's works. And the employment of distinctive accessories and the smart mix-and-match compliment her designs with a touch of Futurism.
Designer Xie Haiping from Shenzhen also demonstrated his understanding of fashion a day before Ma's catwalk show. What Xie presented on the runway were inspired by the lives of the imperial families in ancient China. Xie hopes his designs capture the evanescence of times and envision the splendid history of China.
Apart from Chinese fashion designers from the younger generation, more than twenty fashion labels and manufacturing firms are participating in London Fashion Week this season.
Industry practitioners from China hope that more made-in-China haute couture be introduced to people around the world via international fashion festivals.
