Before making tea we should warm up the tea pot first. Gaoshan tea is like this and it looks like a dome. Ganpaofa is a method of making tea which demands a dry and clean environment on the surface of the table while conducting a tea ceremony. During the process, the tea maker should try to avoid making any sounds with the tea cups. The most important thing is to use external behavior to influence one's internal feeling and to keep calm and steady. I think this is the most important thing one learns by making tea.

When you make Gaoshan Tea the temperature of the water should be at least 90 degrees Celsius so you can smell its flavor.

The tea should brew for one minute before it is poured into a small bowl and then the tea is poured into small tea cups using the small bowl.

When enjoying Gaoshan Tea, we should look at the color of the tea, smell it and then finally taste it. That is the three steps of enjoying tea.

We call this cup "Pinbei" in Chinese. The Chinese character "Pin" is made of three small squares known as "mouths" which tells us we should drink tea in very small amounts.

How do you experience the fragrance of the tea? When you drink the tea, keep a small amount of it in your mouth first and when you swallow it, don't open your mouth while at the same time allow the air to escape through your nose so you can better experience the aroma of the tea. It is during this time you can easily feel the pleasure and the fragrance of the tea.
