Hong Kong SAR spokesman says the people of Hong Kong are disappointed by the Philippine government's decision NOT to press criminal charges against those involved in the botched hostage crisis in Manila.

The spokesman added that Hong Kong residents expect the Philippine government to handle the question of criminal responsibility in a fair manner and follow through with required procedures seriously.

He also noted that the Philippine government has yet to complete the investigation into the exact cause of death and injury of the victims. The Hong Kong government expressed the hope that the Philippines would make public their findings as soon as possible.
