A charity in Taiwan is helping Pakistan's flood victims keep warm by making and donating fleece blankets from recycled plastic bottles.

The Tzu Chi Foundation, provided a similar service to Haiti's earthquake survivors earlier this year. There are always blankets on stanby, packed and ready to be shipped anywhere in the world, at a moment's notice. The Foundation, also makes clothes from plastic bottles, which are sold in stores across Taiwan. All profits, go to charity. Last year, more than 45 million plastic bottles, were converted into: 300,000 fleece blankets, clothing items and shoes.

Victoria Lee from Tzu Chi Foundation, said, "By taking this trash and regenerating it into something that is useful for people, it's actually helping the earth, cutting down on trash and it creates a profit we can use to help more people that are in need."
