David Cameron is accompanied by the biggest-ever UK delegation to China, comprising four cabinet ministers and 50 top business chiefs. This is Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, a British Conservative politician.
Next on the heavy weight group list is Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, a British Liberal Democrat. Meanwhile, Chris Huhne, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change is also a Liberal Democrat.
Last but not least is Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Education, a Conservative politician, as well as a journalist and author. They are joined by an unprecedented number of UK business delegates, from the finance, retail, low carbon energy, education and IT sectors. The total revenue of the companies represented by these delegates makes up 60 percent of British GDP. The size and clout of the delegation is a clear sign of the new coalition government's strong commitment to intensifying its overall engagement with China.
