Veteran Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung is gearing up for a new world tour. On Wednesday, he held a press conference in Hong Kong to announce the news to his countless fans.

Cheung, who turns fifty next year, named his new tour "1/2 Century". He said it was to commemorate his achievement in the music industry. The tour will kick off in Shanghai, China on December 30th and then go to more than fifty cities around the world. He said there would be a bit of difference from his previous tours, but he's keeping the details a secret.

Cheung's career started in 1984 after appearing in a singing contest. His success in music and film for the last two decades has made him one of China's biggest entertainment icons.
