Peking Opera lineup to appreciate classical art form

November saw Peking Opera enlisted as a masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This month, China's Ministry of Culture is lining up a Peking Opera exhibition for audiences to appreciate the classical art form.

The coming Peking Opera exhibition will distinguish itself as the largest of all opera exhibitions. Audiences will be invited to 36 operas and 9 episodes of highlights from traditional operas.

From December 21st to January 20th the exhibition is performing at The National Center for Performing Arts, Mei LanFang Theater, and other venues around the capital. "The Whole River Red", a story of patriot General Yue Fei in the Song dynasty will be featured for the exhibition's opening ceremony.
