Brazilian rescue workers have continued digging through mud and rubble in search of survivors in flood-hit towns near Rio de Janeiro.
Torrents of mud and water set off by heavy rains left a trail of destruction through the mountainous Serrana region. Thousands of homeless families have taken refuge at a school to receive aid supplies. Many campaign efforts are underway across Brazil to collect donations for the victims. At least 443 people have been killed in the disaster. More heavy rain is forecast this week, raising the risk of further mudslides.
