Local Chinese busy preparing Chinese Lunar New Year in Toronto

All around the world, people are eagerly anticipating the holidays. Let's head to Toronto of Canada, to see how the local Chinese prepare for the big event.

 

In Toronto, preparations for Chinese New Year are well underway, with festive decorations and lively celebrations taking place in the city's Chinatown.

Chinese retailers have been stocking their shelves with lanterns, lion figures, and spring scrolls.

Retailer, Toronto of Canada, said, "I've bought a lot of goods for the Spring Festival, such as spring scrolls, lanterns, and firecrackers. They will sell very well."

Supermarkets in Toronto are also getting ready for the Chinese new year. Residents stocking up with an endless choice of goods for the new year, from bulk candy to rice cakes, desserts to pastries.

Among all the products, red envelopes are the most popular for local Chinese.
