In Cote d'Ivoire, at least four civilians have been killed in clashes between supporters of Alassane Ouattara, and security forces loyal to incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo.
Witnesses, say pro-Gbagbo and pro-Ouattara, women staged demonstrations to mark International Women's Day in the city.
Although the women, of both camps held their gatherings in separate places, shooting erupted in a district where one woman and several others, were gunned down and moved to a nearby clinic.
Abidjan has become a battleground for rival camps since the election, of which both Gbagbo and Ouattara claim victory.
