Sandstorms have been ravaging North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous region ever since Tuesday night. The city of Baotou has been particularly hard hit.
Sandstorms have caused poor visibility in the city where objects further away than one kilometer can't be seen clearly. Winds are up to 50 kilometers per hour, almost covering the city in sand. Chaos has been caused to the transportation system, and drivers are having to travel very carefully to avoid accidents.
