Bucks cool Heat 90-85

In the NBA, the Miami Heat, are trying to chase down the Boston Celtics for the second seed in the Eastern conference. That task become a little more difficult as Dwayne Wade sat out Wednesday's game versus Milwaukee because of a sore thigh. The Bucks meanwhile trying to keep their hopes of a playoff berth alive.

The Bucks, got off to a quick start --- Luc Richard Mbah a Moute laid in a bucket to put them up 25-13. Mbah a Moute had 14 points and 12 boards on the night.

LeBron James would pick up his 2,000th points of the season. The 7th successive season he has reached that milestone and is the youngest player to achieve the record.

More from Lebron slashing through for the bucket. The Heat rallying back after trailing by double digits.

LeBron would then nail a jumper to make it 61-58 late in the third.

The King would then tie the game at 61 with this three. LeBron would finish with a game high 29 points.

Milwaukee would make a charge, Andrew Bogut feeding Corey Maggette with a neat back pass, for the basket. So nice, we'll show you twice. Maggette finished the game with 14.

Midway through the fourth, LeBron with the steal, then takes off for the rim for a big throwdown, Miami leading 77-73.

LeBron's acrobatic lay-up, makes it a two point game with a minute and half to go.

However, Carlos Delfino's 3-pointer with 24 seconds left helped seal the win for Milwaukee. The Bucks though, eliminated from playoff contention, as Indiana also win to clinch the final spot in the East.

Hornets beat Rockets, clinch playoff spot

Kyle Lowry sets up Chase Budinger for an ally-oop dunk. Houston was up big in the opening quarter.

The Hornets would rally, off the steal, Chris Paul drops for Trevor Ariza his stuff trimming the Houston lead to 5.

Jarrett Jack would then find Ariza for another slam dunk. The Rockets lead down to 9.

Jack would then knock down a three, bringing the Hornets to within 4 heading into second half. Jack finished with 19.

More from Jack -- with the game tied at 86, Jack would give the Hornets the lead with a baseline three.

Then, with just over 4 to play...Ariza, picks Kevin Martin's pocket and glides in for a jam to keep the home side ahead. Ariza tied a season high with 6 steals.

Chris Paul would go on to seal the win for the Hornets, 101-93.
