Taiwan has sent two pairs of rare deer and goats as gifts to the Chinese mainland. The animals are settling in well to their new home at a national park in Weihai, Shandong Province.
They reached their new island home at Liugongdao National Forest Park on Saturday afternoon, where a welcome ceremony was held.
The Sika deer and goats, known as serows, were donated by the Taipei Zoo. The park will announce the end of the animals' quarantine period and welcome visitors to meet the animals next month.
