The National Stadium of China was lit up like a bonfire Sunday night as Rock Records celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Rock music fans from every corner of the city packed the Bird's Nest for a more than five-hour concert.
This was a historical moment for those who grew up in the 1980s and 90s listening to hits produced by the Taiwan record label, one of the top record companies in China. Some showed their appreciation by singing along with their much beloved pop icons from beginning to end.
Taking the stage in turn were dozens of musicians from Rock Records label, including May Day, the Flowers Band, Richie Jen, and Emil Chou, just to name a few. Each artist in turn wowed the enthusiastic crowd with their popular tunes.
Several long-time-no-see singers, like Chyi Yu and Winnie Hsin, showed up belting out their signature hits only to be overwhelmed by non-stop applause.
The concert, which kicked off at four thirty P.M, wrapped up at half-past-nine with all participating artists singing "True Blue Hero."
