Located in the newly restored Qianmen area is the famous Xianyukou Street, known for its delicious and traditional Chinese snack food. Visiting the area is a nice way to experience a part of old China, and it’s something different for those who have already been to the more popular tourist destinations.

On any given day thousands of people visit this street to enjoy the delicacies. People come here from all over China, and all over the world.

Qianmen Street officially reopened to the public in May 2008 as a city landmark to attract visitors during the Olympics. Ever since then it has been nothing but a great addition to the area.

Many Chinese couples come here to relive their past. They remember coming here as a child, and are excited to revisit their childhood memories.

Xianyukou Street may only be one street in a city with thousands of streets, but it’s definitely one of the more unique ones, and certainly worth walking down at least once while you’re here.
