Game 2 of the women's basketball series between China and Cuba got underway at Lvliang city in Shandong province on Monday afternoon.

Down 1-0 in the 3 game series, Cuba got off to a bright start. They open up a seven point lead midway through the first quarter. But the home side controlled much of the second quarter and China led the teams into the break 31-26.

21-year-old center Wei Wei shows her range with a 3-pointer to extend China's lead to 12 midway through the third. Cuba bounces back to within a point before Ma Zengyu gets this 3-pointer. China leads by four.

Gao Song added another two and suddenly Cuba were slipping behind again. With 22 seconds to play Wei Wei finds some space for a jump shot. She finishes with 16 points and China beats Cuba 68-65.
