Pick it up midway through opening frame Chris Bosh missed a jumper, but Dwyane Wade got the rebound, and put in a trademark reverse layup, to tie the game at 8-all. Bosh, who nailed the winning two for the Heat in the previous game, came up with a thunderous two-handed dunk, to put Miami up by 4. Bosh would finish the night with 24. Dirk Nowitzki then hit a textbook fallaway jumper, Dallas battled back to make it 34-all.
D-Wade shrugged off Shawne Marion, put down a baseline slam and drained foul as Miami stayed in neck-and-neck. The game continued as a seasaw affair, Wade drove in, laid in a bucket, that pulled the game at 51-all minutes into the third.

Tyson Chandler fed to Marion, who threw down a two, Dallas regained a narrow lead. Marion, dropping 18. Wade was big again, he rounded Marion back and forth before nailing a triple, that gave the Heat one point lead. Late in the third, Wade stole the ball, and passed to LeBron James, who drove to the rim and threw down a two, Miami had one point cushion. Lebron though, would have a quiet night, finishing with only 8 points.
LeBron connected with an airborne Dwyane, who slamed home with an ally-oop two-hander. Miami stretched their cushion. Wade, led the Heat with 32. 4 minutes into the final q, Dirk cut in and banked a basket, Dallas began to rally back. Dirk, fighting a fever throughout this game, but got it done,
Later on, Tyson Chandler cleaned up a missed Jason Terry layup, Dallas made it one point game. Chandler, 13 pts, 16 boards for Dallas. With 17 seconds remaining, Nowitzki drove in and scored the potential winner, which put Dallas up by 3. With under 10 to go, Wade with the drive and the flush, which made one point game with 9 seconds to go.
After Terry hit two free throws, Miami had the final attack, but Mike Miller's inbound ball slipped off Wade's hands, he saved it for Miller, but his tying attempt, draws, air. Dallas went on to close out a 86-83 win, making it 2-game apiece. After the game, the Mavs Tyson Chandler talked about Dirks's effort despite battling sickness.
