At just 13 days old, a new addition to the Prague Zoo in the Czech Republic has a promising career as a star attraction, if he or she or can overcome a little shyness.

A 13-days old hippo with his mother Maruska showed to public for the first time at the Prague's Zoo in Prague, Czech Republic, Tuesday, June 21, 2011.

Born to mother Marusska and father Slavek, the baby hippo, --nameless for now since its sex isn't yet known,-- can be seen every day if it isn't hiding. Baby hippos in captivity keep a low profile, coming out only in the morning and the evening.

This little one is the first African hippo born in the Prague Zoo this year and only the tenth ever.

The Prague Zoo said, hippos, especially baby ones, rank in the top ten of its attractions.
