Chen and Wang coasted into the contest in 1st place after qualifications. They set the scoring pace in their first three dives. But they had a little problem getting in sync for their fourth dive.

The trouble didn't cost Chen and Wang the lead, and they claimed the title with 362.58 points, more than 36 points better than the 2nd place Australian pair. Chen's now won a gold medal in synchronized diving at three straight World Championships.
