The Democratic People's Republic of Korea says it's ready to hold six-party talks without preconditions. The DPRK's foreign ministry says the country will comprehensively implement the September 19th joint statement on the principle of simultaneous action.

It follows high level talks between the DPRK and the US. DPRK First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan met with the US Special Representative for DPRK, Stephen Bosworth in New York last week.
