A cyclist crossing the African savannah was in for a shock when some of the local wildlife objected to his presence.
The mountain biker Evan van der Spuy of Team Jeep South Africa get taken out by an antelope during a mountain bike race at South Africa's Albert Falls Dam.
The antelope was a Red Hartebeest buck which, according to Namibian.org, has "a poor sense of smell." The average shoulder height of a male is 1.25m and they typically weigh about 150kg.
Despite being hit side-on by a charging antelope of this size, Van der Spuy was apparently unhurt.
