The Summer Olympic Games to be held in 2012 are attracting more and more attention. As host for the 2008 Olympics, Beijing hopes to pass on the Olympic spirit.

One way to do that is through promoting Chinese culture. And music has become one of the best methods of building that kind of cultural bridge. Now, the famous Chinese singer, Tan Jing, will perform at London's main Olympic venue, the Royal Albert Hall, at the end of this month.

Tan Jing, along with Swedish composer pianist Robert Wells, performed at a press conference in Beijing on Monday. As a tribute to the Olympic spirits, Tan and Wells, who cooperated during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, will hold a joint concert on November the 28th.

And the venue, the Royal Albert Hall in London, is where the 2012 Summer Olympic Games will take place. They hope to pass on the Olympic spirit from Beijing to London.

Tan Jing said, "The 2008 Olympic Games have demonstrated the charm of Chinese culture. Chinese athletes showed their talents as well as their graceful manner. We hope through this kind of cultural communication, to help foreign audiences learn more about Chinese culture."

This concert will present audiences with many musical works to show the new image of Beijing. Meanwhile it will deliver the spirit of the Beijing Olympic Games to the London Olympic Games, becoming a great link between the Chinese and British capitals.
