China's meteorological authorities say temperatures are expected to drop in most parts of the country over the next three days as the cold wave still lingers. |
Most parts of northeast China and areas along the Yangtze and Huai rivers will see temperatures down by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Some of these regions may see temperatures plunge by more than 10 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate snow is forecast for areas of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and northeast China, while some parts of Liaoning and Jilin provinces will be hit by heavy snow over the next three days. Meanwhile, strong winds will sweep across the East China Sea, the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea during the same period.
