The makers of a new film to come out of South Africa are certainly not the first people to make a movie about AIDS and HIV. But they may be one of the first to try and tackle the technical side of the disease on film.
"Inside Story" is about a gifted young Kenyan footballer who moves to South Africa to follow his dream only to fall in love with his coach's daughter before finding out he's HIV positive.
The feature length film is aimed at teenagers and young adults and is part of a collaboration between South Africa-based Curious Pictures and the education arm of America's Discovery Channel.
The movie premiered in Johannesburg on World Aids Day where the film's cast and director were out in force to sign posters and meet the media.
"Inside Story" is due to premiere in America and other African countries early next year with screenings also planned in schools, universities and church groups across sub-Saharan Africa to maximize its educational impact.
