15-year-old Swedish teenager Julia Schneider was crowned the winner of the 2011 Elite Model Look World Final in Shanghai on Tuesday.

65 contestants from 63 countries across the globe were gathered in China's financial capital to compete in the prestigious event.
In 1983, the Elite Model Look began as an international modelling contest geared towards discovering young talents who could be turned into international supermodels. With her win, Schneider gets a contract with Elite Model Management worth 150,000 U.S. dollars over three years.

Only the winner of each country's Elite Model Look contest will qualify to participate in the World Finals every year.
This is the sixth time for China to host the competition, with Shanghai and the resort island of Sanya sharing the honor.
