Western-style food has become more and more popular in China in the past decade. Recently, Hello Kitty, the girly cartoon Japanese cat, has just pounced onto Beijing's dining scene. A Hello Kitty- themed restaurant which provides Western food started its trial operation on December 23, 2011, in the trendy Sanlitun area.
