70 major cities saw house prices continue to cool in December. According to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics, house prices rose in sixty cities in January, but the figures fell in two cities at the end of the year.

Meanwhile, cities with falling house prices increased from 3 at the beginning of the year to 52 in December. But the major turning point occurred in October, when the number of cities with cheaper houses surpassed the areas with higher house prices for the first time since 2009.
