Europe's brutal cold snap continues to wreak havoc across the continent, with the death toll rising to at least 175.
The Polish Interior Ministry reported that eight people died from cold and two others died of asphyxiation from carbon monoxide-spewing charcoal heaters. In the Belgian capital Brussels, the streets were gridlocked as heavy snow forced traffic to grind to a half.

Russia and Ukraine both took extra precautions on Friday to protect the homeless, ordering new facilities and medical care after scores of people froze to death on the streets.
Most deaths have occurred in Ukraine and Russia but facilities have also reported damage in Bosnia, Serbia and the Netherlands. This marks Eastern Europe's worst cold snap in decades, causing power outages, frozen water pipes and the widespread closure of schools, nurseries, airports and bus routes.
