The music world has lost a legendary pop singer. Whitney Houston died in Los Angeles at the age of 48. Her life and career as one of the world's greatest singers are legends.

The news came on Saturday...
"They found her unresponsive. They attempted life-saving resuscitation measures, unfortunately they were not successful and at approximately 3:55 p.m. Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel."
The news spread quickly around the world that the music industry lost one of its legends.
Houston's body is said to have been found in the bathtub of her hotel room, but investigators did not specify a cause of death. Forensics teams will carry out an autopsy to determine how she died.
