Obama visits Demilitarized Zone at inter-Korea border

US President Barack Obama has visited the Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and the DPRK amid rising tensions in the region over a rocket-powered satellite launch planned next month by the DPRK. It’s the fourth such visit by a US president.

Obama visits Demilitarized Zone at inter-Korea border. 

Analysts say Obama’s first visit to the tense border shows the strength of the US-South Korean alliance and a sign of gratitude to the more than 20 thousand American troops stationed in South Korea.
