President Hu flew in from Seoul, after attending the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit. He will elaborate on China's position on global governance, sustainable development, and cooperation among BRICS countries.

This year's summit is being held against the backdrop of the euro-zone debt crisis, US financial problems and instability in the Arab world, as well as multiple uncertainties in a shaky global economic recovery.
