Shanghai Disney Resort, scheduled to open in late 2015, has begun its first round of recruitment. The resort says it has 100 job openings for highly skilled specialists in engineering, design and other fields to assist in the initial construction.

Flash and joy, always pervades Disney parks. Creative ideas and inspiration flourish at the world-famous resorts. And in terms of talent, Shanghai Disney Resort has its sights set high.

An official in Shanghai Disney Resort said, "We believe that Disney represent great service and excellence what we do. So we like to have high level talent. We also like to develop talent. We bring them in. We really invest in development."

Construction began in Pudong in April last year. The resort will include a park, two themed hotels, a dining centre and an array of other recreation facilities.

According to the resort, most of the positions will be filled by local people, as part of Disney's efforts to make the resort "authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese".

An official in Shanghai Disney Resort said, "Localization is critical to everything we do. From the products we buy, to the environment we create design."

Local job seekers have responded enthusiastically to the first round of hiring for the recruitment drive. The resort says the number of applications has exceeded expectations. More initiatives will be launched later.
