The official KCNA news agency has said the DPRK wouldn't be held to its major deal with the United States and would continue to launch satellites.

The DPRK also rejected a latest UN Security Council presidential statement condemning its satellite launch.

The official statement said the DPRK would continue to explore space for peaceful purposes, and develop satellite launching skills necessary for the country's economic development.

The statement also stressed the DPRK would no longer be confined by the February 29th aid deal with the US, as the United States had completely breached it with confrontational acts.
