A cold front has swept across most parts of China. This is causing rainstorms and temperatures have dropped by four to 14 degrees Celsius in central and eastern regions.

Heavy rain has hit Beijing, Tianjin, Hubei, Anhui and Jiangxi. Most of those places have issued rainstorm alerts. Thunderstorms, strong winds and hail have also hit southern part of Hunan Province and northern part of Guangdong province.

According to the local meteorological bureau, a rainstorm is expected to move through Jiangxi over the next two days, heading south.
