Fourteen times Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps, has always prefered to let his swimming do the talking. And two weeks before he dives into the pool for his fourth Olympics, the story is no different.

Fellow US Olympic swimmer Tyler Clary questioned Phelps work ethic earlier this week in a media interview which is sure to ruffle some feathers ahead of London.

Phelps swam a couple of practice laps for the media on Thursday along with several other team members at the University of Tennessee. Clary’s interview earlier in the week state he works harder than Phelps and is ready to beat him at the games. Asked to respond, Phelps made it clear he was not concerned with what anyone else had to say about his motivation.

Michael Phelps said, "You know for me right now the only thing I’m worried about is myself and preparing myself to go out and represent my country and step up wearing the stars and stripes and try to swim as fast as I can, there’s nothing else that needs to be said about it."

Ryan Lochte, American Swimmer, said, "Nothing I mean he’s (Phelps) a good friend of mine, he’s probably the hardest racer I’ve ever came across and he’s a good friend of mine and we created a great rivalry between us."
