Twin typhoons approach Taiwan

Two typhoons are expected to hit Taiwan island in the coming days.

Tembin, the 14th tropical storm this year, has intensified into to a typhoon. It could make landfall on Taiwan's east coast on Thursday. Bolaven, the 15th tropical storm, has formed 21-hundred kilometers southeast of Taiwan, and is moving in a northwest direction.

But the island's weather authority says Bolaven won't affect nearby sea areas in the coming three days, even as it gradually intensifies.
