It's been said that a packed shopping mall can resemble a zoo. Still, you wouldn't expect to find wild animals there. But that's just what happened in Beijing. A baby crocodile was found in a pond near one of the busiest shopping areas.

Property management staff of the Solana shopping center reported their discovery to the Beijing Aquatic Wild Animal Rescue Center. The half-meter reptile was later confirmed to be an aggressive Siamese crocodile. It's believed to be an abandoned exotic pet. Specialists say it could pose a threat to children. The rescue center now has it well in hand.
