Japan's diet is set to hold a meeting on the issues of diplomacy and security on Friday. At the meeting, Noda and senior officials will be questioned over the country's recent territory disputes.

The Diet of Japan plans to pass a draft resolution which will ask the government to manage effectively the disputed islands.

The draft resolution will likely touch on South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's visit to the disputed islands.

And it will also include the issue of Lee's recent remarks about Japanese Emperor. Lee had said publicy that the Emperor should apologise to South Koreans if he was to visit South Korea.

Japanese media has reported that Democrats would negotiate with opposition parties and adjust the draft resolution.

Opposition parties are dissatisfied with the diplomatic policy used so far to tackle territory rows with its neighbours.

Meawnhile Japan's Foreign Ministry has announced that the ambassadors to China, the US and South Korea will be replaced. The move, however, has not been approved by the Prime Minister.

Ruling and opposition party members said on Thursday that Yoshihiko Noda is likely to call a snap election for November, despite the likelihood that his party will suffer a drubbing.
