One of China’s most prestigious TV Arts Awards ceremonies has opened in the city of Changsha in Hunan Province. The China Golden Eagle Festival is the first national event with a focus on national TV arts programs.

An unprecedented 800 works are vying for the 99 awards in the event’s five categories, namely TV series, literary & art programs, documentaries, cartoons and advertisements. The festival also features program exchanges between domestic and overseas TV organizations and has attracted a wide range of participation and interest from overseas media.
