The 6th World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the "Summer Davos" has opened in the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin.
The theme of the 3-day forum is "Creating the Future Economy". 2,000 delegates and guests from 86 nations and regions have registered for the event. Heads of state from 7 countries will also attend.
This year's forum will feature a list of interactive programs on issues including the Euro crisis, China's future economy and global food security. China has participated in the research of 18 presentation topics, including "China's economic growth rate and pattern", "The ageing society" and "Sustainable development of the urban city".
