Syrian Television has released a video of President Bashar al Assad and his wife, Asma meeting the country's journalists.

They are said to be employees of Syrian Television, Ad-Dounia and Al-Ikhbariyah. Assad praised their work, saying they have played important role during the country's crisis. The meeting is said to have taken place in the second week of September. It is the first time Assad's wife has made a public appearance in several months. Whether Assad and his relatives will stay in the country or be exiled, if the government is toppled, is a major question.
