Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying has criticized Japan for challenging the post-war world order. She said Japan has not reflected on and settled accounts of its history of invasion.

Hua made this statement in response to Japanese claim that China refuses to accept the facts that the US handed over to Japan the right of jurisdiction of the Diaoyu islands. This was written by Japan's Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba in the US International Herald Tribune newspaper. He said it was China and not Japan, that had not accepted the new world order. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman demanded for Japan to give up its hallucination and face the reality.

Hua Chunying, Spokeswoman of Chinese Foreign Ministry, said, "About what Japan called challenging the current situation, I have two points to make. First, we need to realize that the Diaoyu islands have always been China's territory. It belonged to China.

Japan stole and seized the area following the Sino-Japanese Naval Battle and the US' return of Okinawa. Second, if Japan's understanding of the current situation is its illegal occupation and its so-called practical management, I'd like to make clear that China has never admitted and accepted this. We have reiterated that Japan's so-called existence and management around the Diaoyu Islands are illegal and invalid. China will never accept it."
